Wells Of Love

Clean & Fresh Water

A critical issue of life in Uganda, East Africa is the availability of clean and fresh water. Many of the villages that our teams have visited over the years lack this basic and essential element. Because they are drinking contaminated or unclean water, many water borne illnesses are prevalent in these villages.

Bore hole wells are the most effective long-term solution to this problem. The bore hole is fitted with a hand pump and the water, because it comes from deep underground, is clean and potable. Other clean water solutions like filtering systems, capturing and protecting natural springs and rain water retainer systems are also explored and utilized when possible.

The cost of a bore hole project can be anywhere from $7,000 to $9,000 depending on location, accessibility of the village and other variables.

Wells of Love has provided clean water via bore hole for the the village of Kirimangdagi in the Luweero district and in Nabukondo in the Gomba district of Uganda. Other projects are being explored.
