Doris Schanzlin

Doris Schanzlin is a graduate of Fredonia NY High School, has Associate in Applied Science from Alfred State Tech and a Bachelor of Science from Canisius College, where her major was Accounting.  She worked as a Medical Office Manager for 45 years, 30 years for Internists and 15 years for a Dermatologist.  For several years she worked part time nights and weekends during tax season for several tax professionals.  After her retirement she worked in the Finance Department of Forest Lawn Cemetery part time until May of 2019.

Doris transferred her membership to Christ Church in 1989 when Asbury Delaware UM church closed its doors.  She has served on the church’s Mission Team, was on the Board of Trustees for 19 years and is a member of the Finance Team as a Staff member.  She took the job of Financial Secretary of Christ Church in the summer of 2005.

Doris is a member of the Amherst Senior Center and since September, 2005 has gone to the Center twice a week for exercise classes.
